All is forgiven, British Airways. We can forget the lost baggage, the canceled flight, and the missed appointment in Madrid, because you’re serving whole grains onboard!

My dinner came with a choice of whole grain or white rolls, tastefully photographed here on my tray table, and a small packet of Nairn’s Scottish oat cakes. Our tea* contained a chicken and rocket* sandwich on malted* wholemeal* bread, and a brownie whose first ingredient was whole wheat flour. Way to go, B.A.! It’s all about offering choices.

Glossary for this story: tea = snack box; rocket = arugula; malted wholemeal = sprouted whole wheat. It’s not just Finnish that needs translation! (Cindy – June 19, 2008)
