I grabbed the paper from the doorstep Saturday morning and was delighted to see the Whole Grain Stamp staring up at me from a sample of General Mills breakfast cereal bundled with the Portsmouth (NH) Herald.

What a great way to kick off Whole Grains Month in September! It seems unlikely that this sample box was something special just for a small town in New Hampshire… Left me wondering just how many doorsteps across the nation offered up this whole grain greeting over Labor Day Weekend.

However many boxes General Mills gave away, it just adds to our Whole Grains Giveaway taking place this month and next. So far our members have pledged to donate nine and a half tons of whole grains to worthy causes. (Cynthia – Sept. 1, 2008)
