China held its first-ever Whole Grain Forum on April 20-21, 2011 in Beijing, with an event co-organized by the Chinese government’s Public Nutrition and Development Center (PNDC), the Whole Grains Council, and the Grains for Health Foundation.

The Forum, which attracted an estimated 200 attendees, was an important step in a major whole grain promotion campaign planned by Chinese nutrition authorities. Cynthia Harriman and Kara Berrini attended, from Oldways and the Whole Grains Council, and the two dozen speakers included eight, below, representing U.S. companies and organizations.
