The new 2005 Dietary Guidelines recommend that half our grains be whole grains. But currently, whole grains make up just 13% of our grain consumption. How can we get whole grain consumption to the recommended 3 servings a day?

Our 2006 conference looked at all the places where Americans eat, and heard from pioneers in moving the consumer needle toward whole grains at hospitals, schools, workplaces, restaurants, supermarkets and kitchen tables. During these three days, over 40 leading whole-grain food manufacturers traded ideas with physicians, consultants, commodity organizations and restaurateurs, to learn the best ways to bring more whole grains to every place where Americans eat.
