Join the WGCCompanies desiring to use the Stamp in countries other than the U.S., Canada, or Brazil are welcome to contact us for more information. The Whole Grains Council can:
-
Help you explore any regulatory issues.
-
Create Stamp graphics in your language.
-
Advise you on consumer campaigns.
Qualifying Products
As in the U.S., Canada, and Brazil, products must contain at least 8g of whole grain per serving to bear the Whole Grain Stamp. All requirements for using the Stamp are generally the same as in the U.S.
We recommend that all WGC members (or prospective members) planning to use the Stamp outside of the U.S., Canada, or Brazil start by downloading and reviewing a copy of the International Stamp Usage Guide in English, Spanish, or Chinese (available here).
Graphics Available in Many Languages
We currently support use of the Whole Grain Stamp in five languages: English, French/English (for Canada), Spanish, Portuguese and Chinese. All five versions use the same colors and key graphics as the U.S. Stamp, but there is no “fine print” under the Stamp, as dietary guidelines differ from country to country.
Whole Grain Stamp graphics in English (for the US), French/English (for Canada), and Spanish are available to members on our website. For other languages, we can supply Stamp graphics by email as needed, as each product is approved.
If you need Stamp graphics not already on our website please contact Vik Bensen (vik@oldwayspt.org or 617-896-4810).
Local Regulations
The Whole Grains Council will grant you permission to use the Stamp based on your compliance with our rules and regulations. Complying with local food-packaging regulations is your responsibility, although we are glad to assist and provide information on the Whole Grain Stamp program to your authorities at your request.
